How can my child join MagicTreeHouse.com?

What are the benefits of registering?

Although not required, creating an account on MagicTreeHouse.com is free and allows players to:

  • Earn and save Mission Medallions and other Mission Rewards
  • Improve their Magic Tree House Missions Game ranking
  • Earn and save stamps in the Passport to Adventure reading passport
  • Receive personalized Tree House Mail
  • Create a wishlist of books in My Library


What options can be adjusted on the Account Settings Page?

Parents can change what parent email address is associated with their child’s account and manage his or her email options. Additionally, they can change their child’s profile information, including first name, birthday, and age. They can also reset their child’s password or delete the account.


How does my child log in once they have registered?

Click on the Log In button, located in the lower-right corner of the site, to log in.


What if my child forgets his or her username or password?

On the login screen, kids can select “Forgot Username or Password” and enter the parent email address associated with the account. The account information then will be mailed to the parent email address. Parents can request their children’s account information be sent to their email address on the Account Settings page in the For Parents section.


How do I change the parent email address that is associated with my child’s account?

First make sure that your child is logged in to the site. Then visit the Account Settings page in the For Parents section to change your email address.


Can my child change his or her username?

No. We do not currently offer the ability to change usernames. Once a username has been created it cannot be changed.


Can my child change his or her password?

Yes. You can change your child’s password by visiting the Account Settings page in the For Parents section.


Can I delete my child’s account?

Yes. First ensure that your child is logged into the site. Then visit the Account Settings page in the For Parents section to delete the account. Once an account is deleted all achievements and rewards will be lost and cannot be recovered.


How can I update my newsletter preferences?

First ensure that your child is logged into the site. Then visit the Account Settings page in the For Parents section and check or uncheck the boxes next to the available newsletters to subscribe or unsubscribe.


How do I create a Parent Account?

You do not need a separate account to use the resources in the For Parents section. Just be sure that your child is logged in if you wish to adjust your child’s account settings or manage your newsletter subscriptions.

If a parent or other adult would like to participate in the other site features, including the Magic Tree House Missions game, maintaining your own wishlist, or earning passport stamps, they can create their own user account by visiting our Join Now page.
